Years ago, a colleague came to me and said, "you watch old movies -- my wife and I would like to know which ones you think we would enjoy." So, I listed a number of movies and I began thinking that others might like to have the same guidance. There is no point in watching a movie just because it is old. Even TCM fills some time with movies that are neither important or enjoyable.
Some of the movies in this blog are important; they either brought a new idea or technology to the public. All of them are worth watching, I think. So, you can wait to see them on television, rent them or buy them. Some, you can even watch on You Tube should you be so inclined.
